best private investigator blogs

Here is a detailed post about the Best Private Investigator Blogs. Suppose you are looking for private investigator websites. Then reading this article may help. It also includes best private investigator blogs 2021.

I have my own personal preferences when it comes to private investigator bloggers, influencers or publications that I trust or follow.  For me personally, I am very much about the motive or reason behind whatever is being shared, posted or sold. That is just how my mind works.  If I can’t trust the person then I probably can’t trust what they are sharing or selling.

So while there are plenty of private investigator blogger lists floating around, I thought it would be more beneficial if I created a more curated version of those lists to zero in on some private investigator related sites that I personally feel are most beneficial to those in the investigation industry.

private investigator websites

Just because they don’t make my lists doesn’t mean they are a bad site or influencer.  It might be because I have never heard of them.

Actually, I even reached out to those in the P.I. Advice community regarding other influencers during a recent Facebook Live session because I thought my trusted list was a bit small.  I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anyone. And what I determined was my list was on point. The people and sites I felt comfortable recommending were the same websites that others trusted as well.

So let’s get into the lists.

Best Private Investigator Blogs

SHADOWANYONE.COM

Larry Kaye with Shadowanyone.com got started in the private investigator video and blogging space about the same time Private Investigator Advice was created.  Larry posts weekly videos on his Youtube channel covering a variety of topics for private investigators.

Larry is consistently providing value to investigators.  It’s the constant value each week that earns Larry a spot on this list.  I have much respect for a blogger/influencer that shows up every week to provide value for their audience.

PIBUZZ

Run by Tamara Thompson this is a website that is constantly posting gems for investigators.  Tamara doesn’t post super frequently but when she does there is value in every post. Through some brief research, it appears that this site has been live since about 2006.  I was first alerted to PIBuzz after another investigator in my private investigator association referred to a helpful article on the PIBUZZ website. There isn’t a whole lot of fluff on this site.  This site all about sharing websites and sources that are useful to private investigators which I personally believe is what makes PIBUZZ a valuable resource for anyone, especially investigators.

 DILIGENTA GROUP BLOG

Brian Williamham, the owner of Diligenta Group has a blog that is one of the better blogs that I have looked at that is directly connected to their business website.  Brian doesn’t post that frequently as I write this but when he does it is worth taking a look at.

I don’t think his blog is directly related to helping other investigators though it does.  I personally think the reason behind his blog is related to SEO and other business opportunities which I think works for him.

I don’t know Brian on a personal level but I have found (what I have read and observed) that Brian is a smart guy and worth keeping an eye on to see what he has to share.

PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR ADVICE

Of course, I would like to add the Private Investigator Advice site to the list.  So be sure to check out the articles, Private Investigator Advice Podcast, and Private Investigator Advice Youtube Channel that shares tips, investigator news, product reviews and more.

PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR PUBLICATIONS

Investigator publications share a variety of articles from a variety of different people.  There is no one writer that does it all. Instead, these publications are built on articles and information provided by a variety of sources.

These types of publications provide a variety of unique perspectives and unique perspectives can be good for investigators to expand their knowledge in the industry.

To be honest, I don’t read these publications often unless something catches my eye.  These publications would be trustworthy sources to read from in my opinion.

FRAUD MAGAZINE

Only by researching this a bit did I find out that Fraud Magazine is a publication from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  This hasn’t been on my radar but it is now.

This magazine has a focus on white collar crime as well as techniques related to fraud examination.

Subscriptions are free to anyone who is a member of the ACFE Association of Certified Fraud Examiners but will cost $65 to anyone in the United States and $77 to those outside of the United States.

PURSUIT MAGAZINE

This online magazine shares a variety of different information from many writers.  Some information relates to teaching and some relate to stories. Either way, you may find something that appeals to you when taking a look at their site.

PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR MAGAZINE

Private Investigator Magazine has been around for awhile and has recently changed ownership.  I believe this is one of the few if not only physical magazines for private investigators being sold.  The subscription is reasonable and they send out magazines 4 times a year (if I remember correctly). They also have a digital version of the magazine if you are interested in that.

One thing that I like is that you can purchase archived magazines if there is one particular issue that you wanted read from the past.

Private Investigator Podcasts

Other than the Private Investigator Advice Podcast where I bring you a new episode every week there are other private investigator related podcasts for you to listen to after you have listened to every episode of the P.I. Advice Podcast(Just kidding).

While there are several podcasts available to listen to I have not listened to them all.  In fact, I have only really listened to a two over the years. And these are the two I would recommend checking out if you haven’t already done so.

P.I. DECLASSIFIED

Francine Koehler is the host of this podcast.  The podcast is very interview based covers many topics included different investigation occupations and investigations stories.

I first heard of Francine Koehler when she was introduced at an association conference and during her introduction, they said she had a podcast.  At that time there weren’t many podcasts (in general) so I thought it was pretty neat that there was a podcast dedicated to private investigators.

Anyways I have listened to her podcast a few times and I think you might find some value in her interviews.

AMERICAN P.I. PODCAST

Paul Jaeb runs this podcast and typically posts new podcasts once a month.  It looks as though he has taken a break from podcasting as I haven’t seen a new one posted in 2018.  With that being said you can always listen to the archive of podcasts to hear discussions about the industry.

best private investigator blogs 2021

My list is a short, sweet and targeted list of those who provide value the investigation community.  These private investigator bloggers, influencers, and podcasters bring value on a consistent basis and provide quality information.

That isn’t to say that just because a blogger wasn’t listed it is because they don’t provide value.  But the value I was thinking of is more related to teaching, sharing and helping those in the industry become better at what they do.

These bloggers and sites are providing value with regularity and not just to promote something.  With that being said many of these bloggers and magazines do sell different products to their readers.  This is understandable as the time dedicated to providing value to their readers has to be financially sustainable.

So my question is whether you think I missed someone.  Is there a blogger or investigation website that is dedicated to helping those in the investigation industry that I should know about?

Let me know in the comments and I will consider adding them to this list.

BEST SITES LIKE ALIEXPRESS FOR ONLINE SHOPPING

AliExpress is a massively popular Chinese online retail service owned by Alibaba Group. It was launched in 2010 and hasn’t stopped its journey to becoming the ‘biggest online marketplace of the world‘ ever-since. AliExpress stands toe-to-toe even with Amazon in terms of buyers worldwide. It offers wholesale goods at direct-to-consumer prices from Chinese sellers.

It also works as a great dropshipping model for a lot of e-commerce entrepreneurs. Along with a lot of good sides, AliExpress has some cons as well. The biggest problem is the shipping time of AliExpress orders, which is pretty long considering the goods come from China. Also, some orders can be very expensive after shipping charges and taxes.

So, it is a good thing to have some AliExpress alternatives whenever you don’t like its services. That’s why we are telling you about 21 best sites like AliExpress. Some of these websites offer cheaper prices and faster shipping on certain products. And, you can also use them to maintain a nice profit margin for your dropshipping business.

3. OVERSTOCK

Overstock is a US-based online marketplace. It makes profit by selling wholesale products at a highly cheap price tag. A major portion of their stock is comprised of overstock from the major retailers or their seconds. You can find some really amusing deals here.
