Since 1948, Land Rover has been delivering legendary quality and rugged sportiness with a variety of impressive SUVs that drivers here on Long Island, and around the world, want to own. At Land Rover Glen Cove, we strive to match every driver with their ideal Land Rover model, and we work hard to give our customers as much information as possible about our assorted available models, to help each person make the perfect decision for their driving needs.
THE 2020 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE
This popular, small SUV returns for the 2020 model year with a whole new outlook. The 2020 Evoque has grown since its last outing, adding inches to its wheelbase and extra legroom for backseat passengers. Other changes are apparent as well, including new tech features and options, such as an available, dual-screen infotainment system.
Gas-powered and hybrid engines are both available for this model, which also gives you a variety of six trim levels to pick from.
2020 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT
Another exciting member of the Land Rover SUV family, the Discovery Sport also returns for 2020 with a few updates, including an available, upgraded infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Discovery Sport is also available as either a hybrid or traditional gas-powered SUV, and it gives you three main trims to pick from.
LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER EVOQUE VS. LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT
Depending on the size of your family and your cargo needs, one of these Land Rover SUVs is perfectly suited for you. But, which one? Read on to see their main differences, and find some side-by-side comparisons that can help you decide:
Seating and space. The Range Rover Evoque is a subcompact crossover. It’s small, but it has plenty of room for up to five people in its two-row cabin. The Discovery Sport, on the other hand, is a larger SUV. It comes standard with two rows and seating for five, but it also has an optional third row of seating you can order if you need more room.
Size. The difference in size between these models is also obvious when you look at the exterior dimensions. While both have 8.3 inches of ground clearance, which helps them handle bumpy dirt roads and off-the-beaten-path adventures with ease, the Discovery Sport is both taller and longer than the Range Rover Evoque.
Cargo space. Obviously, with a smaller overall size, the Evoque also has a smaller cargo hold. You’ll have no problem fitting your groceries, suitcases, and more in the Evoque model’s 21.5 cubic feet cargo hold, but the Discovery Sport will accommodate more with 34.6 cubic feet available. If you opt for the third row of seating on the Discovery Sport, however, you will lose some of that added cargo space.
Configuration options. Both SUVs allow you to choose from a menu of engines and trims, but the Range Rover Evoque as six trim options and many standalone features you can use to customize your SUV, while the Discovery Sport has just three trim level options. There are, however, a number of exceptional packages available for the Discovery Sport, which allow you to lump together sought-after features and add them separately to your vehicle for customization.
