About canceling a subscription
- Most subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel them.
- If you cancel, you can keep using the subscription until the next billing date.
- If you cancel during a trial period, you might lose access to content immediately.
If you signed up for a free or discounted trial subscription and you don’t want to renew it, cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

How to see or cancel subscriptions on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription that you want to manage. Don’t see the subscription that you’re looking for?
- Tap Cancel Subscription. (Or if you want to cancel Apple One but keep some subscriptions, tap Choose Individual Services.) If you don’t see Cancel, the subscription is already canceled and won’t renew.

- Open the App Store app.
- Click the sign-in button or your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Click View Information at the top of the window. You might be asked to sign in.
- On the page that appears, scroll until you see Subscriptions, then click Manage.
- Click Edit next to the subscription that you want. Don’t see the subscription that you’re looking for?
- Click Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won’t renew.

- On your Apple Watch, open the App Store.
- Scroll to Account and tap it.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription that you want. Don’t see the subscription that you’re looking for?

See or cancel subscriptions on Apple TV
On Apple TV, you can edit subscriptions only for tvOS apps that are installed on that Apple TV. For Apple TV (3rd generation or earlier), use an iOS or iPadOS device or computer to manage your subscriptions.
- Open Settings.
- Select Users & Accounts, then select your account.
- Select Subscriptions.
- Choose the subscription that you want to manage, then select Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won’t renew.
If you don’t have an Apple device
To see or cancel your subscriptions, use iTunes on a Windows PC or follow the steps for your Android device or other device.
If you don’t see the subscription that you’re looking for
If you tried to see or cancel a subscription and you can’t find the subscription that you’re looking for, check the following things. Or contact Apple Support.
Is the subscription billed through another company?
On your bank statement, find the charge for the subscription. If it does not say iTunes, Apple, or something similar, the subscription might not be billed through Apple.
Did a family member sign up for the subscription?
A Family Sharing organizer can’t manage subscriptions for other family members. Ask your family members to change or cancel their subscriptions from their own devices or when they’re signed in with their own Apple ID. You can also use Ask to Buy to control what kids buy.
Did you subscribe with a different Apple ID?

There are tons of subscription services available on Apple’s mobile devices, whether you’re rocking an iPhone 12 Pro, an iPhone XR, an iPad Mini 5, or an Apple Watch. Maybe you signed up for Apple Music or a subscription to Wired through Apple News. Watch out, though: These subscription services often suck you in with free trial offers, and if you forget to cancel before your trial period ends, they’ll start hitting your credit card until you put a stop to it. Once you subscribe to a product or service, the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
Luckily, Apple makes it easy to check your subscription status or manage subscriptions to services like Apple News+, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple TV channels, and in-app subscriptions you tried and possibly forgot about. Canceling your paid membership means you can continue to use the subscription until the next billing period. However, if you cancel before a trial period ends, you may lose access to your sub immediately. Either way, always cancel a subscription at least 24 hours before it expires so you don’t run the risk of getting billed.
Here’s how to quickly cancel subscriptions on an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch.
Cancel subscriptions on an iPhone
It’s easy to review your current subscriptions and change or cancel them right from your iPhone. Here’s how to do it.
- Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
- Find the subscription you want to cancel and tap on it.
- Tap Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial at the bottom.
- You’ll get a pop-up telling you when the subscription will expire if you cancel.
- Tap Confirm to complete the cancellation.
Remember that you can still use your subscription or free trial until the current subscription period ends, so make sure to get the most out of the subscription you still have.
There’s also a second way of checking and canceling your subscriptions on an iPhone, if you fancy some variety. Simply go to App Store > [Your profile picture] > Subscriptions. This brings you to the same screen as above, so you can tap on any subscription and cancel it as previously described.
Cancel subscriptions on a Mac
For MacOS Catalina and later, you can use the App Store app to manage your subscriptions.PreviousNext
- Launch the App Store app.
- Click the Sign In button or [Your Name] at the bottom left.
- Click View Information at the top.
- Sign in with your Apple ID, if asked.
- On the resulting page, go to Subscriptions > Manage.
- Click Edit next to any subscription you want to cancel.
- Click Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription has already been canceled.
Cancel subscriptions on iTunes
With Mac operating systems earlier than Catalina (MacOS 10.15), you can cancel subscriptions via iTunes.
- Open iTunes and click Account > View My Account.
- Sign in with your Apple ID and click View Account.
- Scroll to Settings and click Manage next to Subscriptions.
- Find the subscription in question and click where it says Edit next to it.
- Click on Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial.
- You’ll see a pop-up highlighting the end of your current subscription period, and you can click Confirm to complete the cancellation.
Cancel subscriptions on an Apple Watch
What you can do on other mobile devices, you can also do on your Apple Watch, including manage subscriptions. Here’s how to do it.
- Open the App Store app on the watch face.
- Scroll down and tap Account.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription that you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. If you do not have any current subscriptions, it will say, “No subscriptions.”
Don’t see a cancel option? Is there a missing subscription?
If there’s a subscription in your list and you tap on it only to find that there’s no Cancel Subscription option, it may be because you’ve already canceled it. If it says Expires [Date] underneath, then you’ve already canceled it. When a subscription is still active, it will say Renews [Date] underneath.
If you’re having trouble finding a subscription on your iPhone and you’ve tried the Mac methods above, then you may need to dig into the relevant third-party app or check with the service provider directly. Depending on how you subscribed, some subscription cancellations may require you to jump through different hoops.
