STYLE NOTES:  The pretty fashionista (above left) didn’t come to play with that floor-length off-shoulder long-sleeve dress with thigh-high slit/ split. We’re envious of her snatched waistline.  On the right side, Bolanle shows off her buffed shoulders in that blue and white patterned sweetheart-neck off-shoulder pencil gown with detached puff sleeves.

3. Lace Styles with Asymmetric Necklines Plus Gele Headtie Equal a Stunning Wedding Guest

STYLE NOTES:  These pretty lace outfits (above) prove that asymmetric necklines and lace materials seem like a perfect match made in fashion haven.  As always, Ini Dimma Okojie ‘killed it’ with this turquoise and black spaghetti strap mermaid-style lace dress.  On the right image (above), Linda Ejoifor is all smiles and shows off toned arms and shoulders in that pink and black single-strap lace aso-ebi long gown with side-slit.

STYLE NOTES:  Mimi Onalaja (left) certainly knows how to make a big fashion statement in a subtle way, that’s what that big, chiffon bubble sleeves did.  Mimi looks nothing but dazzling in that blue lace aso-ebi straight gown with ballon chiffon sleeves, accessorized with a simple gele style.  On the other side (right), Nero is giving us aso-ebi envy with that hot pink asymmetric one-shoulder pencil long gown

About the Lace Materials in Nigerian Women Aso-ebi Fashion

In Nigeria, lace fabrics are not only for tablecloths and curtains, but they are also a premium clothing material for sewing special-occasion-outfits. Outside Nigeria and Africa, most people know lace as the fabric used to sew curtains and tablecloths, and as lace trimmings on lingerie and fancy dresses. Other popular uses of lace by non-Africans include wedding dresses and some occasion wears. The case is different here, Nigerian women often wear dresses made only with lace material.  Lace is a staple fabric for wedding and occasion-wears and many native-style wears such as Iro and Buba, and Bubu flowing gowns.
